Pros: What we liked about the Wells The One Water dispenser and Purifier

Pro 1) Smart and Easy-to-Use Orientation with 180° body-spin function

To make it easier to dispense water, the faucet has a 180° body-spin function. The faucet’s 180° spin capability, allowed us to get water in any direction we preferred, and is intended to help us make better use of space.

Pro 2) We didn’t need to wait for water to be prepared at our ideal temperature.

Wells The One was intelligent to automatically prepare itself for us whenever we needed it, thanks to its smart water release through a human body detection sensor (PIR)

Pro 3) Versatile Styling in the Home to match different kitchen setups and layouts

Wells The One looked great on our kitchen Island, and it can similarly be placed on top of the kitchen sink or kitchen storage space. As long as there is a sturdy surface that is drillable for the 38mm hole, as well as a small space beneath to accommodate the filters, Wells The One will fit very well into that space.

Pro 4) Wells The One dispenser can easily get 6 temperatures of water without waiting

This was a big plus point for us. We could enjoy the coolness of the cold water setting at 6 degrees celsius for cold beverages. A moderately cool temperate was the ambient water at 27 degrees Celsius, not too cool and not too warm, this temperature is commonly known as the best water temperature to drink immediately.

Slightly higher up, we could get the “body temperature” water at 36.5 degrees celsius which is a similar temperature to our body. This helps to improve digestion and blood circulation as compared to cold water. This is the setting I would prefer to have my water at since I’m quite health conscious.

At the higher range, we have 50 degrees celsius which is the perfect temperature for making baby formula. You do not want to get scalding hot water and wait for it to cool down by shaking the bottle and blowing at the surface. Also, baby formula cannot take scalding hot water as it’s known to kill off certain nutrients in the formula.

For tea and coffee, Wells The One impressed as well, at 70 and 85 degrees celsius respectively. I tried preparing several cups of drip-pour coffee using this setting and was not disappointed. I caught all the right aromas and the 85-degree temperature was just right to extract the mid and bottom notes off my coffee grounds to deliver an aromatic pour. You can also choose how much you want to dispense, between 120, 250, and 550 ml, or as much as you want.

Pro 5) Wells The One has a Unique Sterilising System

Once every 3 days, the unique sterilising system will sterilise every single water pipe. Its hygiene system uses a harmless moisture electrolysing technique to carefully sterilise every inch of the purifier that comes into contact with water. Of course, mould build-up and bacteria are something we all fear lurking in the pipes of water dispensers, so we found this system to be very innovative and hygienic.

Pro 6) Auto Water Drainage System

Before each use, Wells The One will drain the water remaining in its water pipes, ten recirculate new and clean water. We found this to be a great feature as stagnant water in a pipe can promote the growth of algae, mould and all types of nasty bacteria. Knowing that we are getting a fresh supply of water running through the pipes and that the “old” water was drained gives us peace of mind.

Pro 7) Wells water dispenser uses Super Bio Water Pipes

Pipes to us, are everything in a dispenser or purifier. Think about it, if your pipes are congested and carry coagulated gum and debris from years of use, you would be getting all types of bacteria thriving in those environments! Thankfully, Wells The One’s Bio water pipes eradicate the need to replace pipes and don’t need any stainless steel pies. The pies use a special water-repellent material which makes the purifier and dispenser so much more hygienic.

Pro 8) H+ Catridge with anti-bacterial ceramic balls

The anti-bacterial properties of the H+ Cartridge keep everything extra clean, and the ceramic balls clean our water, with a mesh net that keeps everything in tact and clean.

Pro 9) Well The One dispenser uses 2 8-inch filters that remove 7 types of heavy metals and remove 35 harmful microorganisms

Among direct-dispensing water purifiers, Wells The One Purifier has the most complete filtration technology (number of filtering processes) in Korea. Additionally, it performs stringent water quality testing to make sure the Purifier gets rid of various heavy metals and dangerous germs.

The 1st filter uses a 5-step filtering system to remove 7 types of heavy metals including sediment, and chlorine and prevents the buildup of bacteria as well as minerals to maintain the pH level of the water.

The 2nd filter uses a 4 step filtering system that removes norovirus and dispenses healthy water. It removes sediment and its positively charged membrane removes norovirus and bacteria.

Pro 10) Super Energy Efficiency

This water dispenser and purifier use a small amount of energy. It goes into standby mode when it’s not being used, which uses very little power (13W @ 0.06A).

When you use the cold, warm, or hot water functions, it uses more energy. My readings for power use look like this: It needs less power to heat water than an electric kettle does to boil water (2900W). For hot water (85°C), Wells the One water dispenser uses 1782W (7.89A), less hot water (70°C) uses 1595W, warm water (50°C) uses 1261W (5.73A), lukewarm water (36.5°C) uses 856W (3.89A), room temperature water (27°C) uses 35W (0.16A) and cold water (4°C) uses 205W (0.93A).

Pro 11) Extremely Easy to Install on any countertop

We found installation to be straightforward. Wells The One installers helped us to select our preferred drilling location, measured a hole size 38mm, drilled a hole in the kitchen countertop and installed the water purifier. It was a quick and simple installation process without any dramatic invasive work needed to our kitchen.

Cons: What we did not like so much about the Wells The One Water Dispenser and Purifier, and what we felt could be improved.

There was a slight hiccup with an error code due to condensation, and I was taught how to prevent it in future. The technical support and on-site service is amazing and unparallel. Good Job Wells Singapore!

I didn’t realise the machine had an error number yesterday until I got home from work around 6 o’clock. I contacted Wells, and they responded quickly and immediately. They scheduled a technician to come down, and Jackson from service called me at 9 o’clock to let me know that their technicians would be there the next day to address the problem. The fact that their crew was still responding to communications at this time pleased me. This demonstrates how much focus and consideration they provide to every consumer. Today, they dispatched the specialists to make the repair, which took a half-hour to complete. Condensation caused the issue, and they gave me advice on how to avoid it in the future. The techs are really courteous, amiable, and effective.
